Charter Manufacturing and our businesses – Charter Automotive, Charter Dura-Bar, Charter Steel and Charter Wire – value the health and safety of our teammates, their families and our business partners. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we followed guidance from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the state and municipalities in which we do business. Through proactive measures – restricting travel; limiting visitors in our facilities; increasing cleaning and sanitization; implementing social distancing, mandatory face masks and hygiene practices; enabling remote work; and providing paid time off for COVID-related absences – we were able to keep our employees and business partners safe and healthy while continuing to perform critical work for our customers and our country.
Health and safety remain our top priority as we gradually return to pre-pandemic operations. With widespread availability of COVID-19 vaccinations and the relaxing of CDC and state and local mandates, we are in the process of returning our salaried employees to the office, allowing visitors and easing our mask requirements, while continuing our focus on social distancing.
